Musket and Muslin York Tour Guide

About Musket and Muslin York

York Tour Guide'Musket and Muslin' is based in North Yorkshire and seeks to promote interest in the past through an expanding range of activities concentrating on the Civil War and Georgian periods but also offering Social history topics.

Chris Corbett (Organiser & Director)

Chris is a B.A. (Hons.) graduate majoring in English History with a previous working background in Sales and Marketing. After leaving university in 1979 he has spent most of his life living and working in North Yorkshire. His degree specialism was the 17th Century and he also has experience of Civil War battle re-enactments! A keen interest in the 18th Century has been fuelled by being an active committee member on the northern branch of the Jane Austen Society and volunteer room hosting at Fairfax House, York.

Chris is also the author of the Lucy Ferrars stories, partly set in York and of 'Marguerite' a biography of Margaret of Anjou (published 2002).

With the aid not only of a wealth of historical famous folk, but also the lovely Caroline and Laura, your 'Musket and Muslin' event, hopefully, should be one to remember.
